I'm just your average 20-something woman who gets spankings from her husband when she needs them...and loves every minute of it (usually!)

Arrrrggghhh!

It's just been one of those days. I know, I know...I seem to have a lot of "those days". I don't know what it is lately! I've just been stressed, and tired, and out of sorts. Usually, I'm a lot more bubbly, especially around this time of year. I think the constant rain and thunderstorms we've been having haven't made it feel a lot like June. I need some sun!

So anyway, Leo and I have a wedding to attend tomorrow and I decided to go search for a dress to wear today. I found a store that's usually super expensive, but there was a sale! Needless to say, I was pretty happy because that store hardly ever has sales. Their idea of a Boxing Day discount is $3.00 off, which is hardly anything considering their prices are so high to begin with. So, I went in and tried on a few dresses and found one I liked. Then I figured that I'd been working hard lately and deserved a reward, so I found a few other items. The grand total was $300.00 (yikes!) and I headed down to the food court afterward to grab some dinner. After dinner, I went on an unsuccessful search for shoes for about an hour and got in the car to go home. That's when I realized I didn't have my bag of clothes.

I remembered that I'd left the bag under the table while I'd been eating my dinner. I ran back inside, but of course the bag was gone. I asked everyone - guest services, the janitors, surrounding restaurants, the store I'd made the purchases at. Nothing. I gave them my phone number and the items I'd lost, but I'm pretty sure there's someone out there enjoying their free new clothes. So much for rewarding myself! All I lost was $300.00 in the process. Leo was very understanding about it and said it could happen to anyone, but I'm still kicking myself. I'm always so excited when I get new clothes! I just don't understand some people. If I found a bag of clothes with a receipt totalling $300.00, or a bag of anything at all that had been left behind, I would turn it in without a second thought. Aren't there any Good Samaritans left?!

In other news, I got that spanking a couple of days ago. It was a playful spanking - 200 spanks total, with teasing every 50. Leo tries so hard, and I really appreciate it. I know I've been short-tempered lately, and he's been so patient and caring. I have such an excellent husband!

What's new with everyone else? Does anyone else have any stories like mine to share, so that I don't feel like such a complete idiot? Haha. I hope everyone is having a lovely first few days of summer! I will post soon.

  1. I do...but luckily mine had a happier ending. K and I were out running errands. We stopped by the bank and he got out a large sum of money to take on vacation with us. He tossed me the envelope and asked me to put it in my purse. I didn't listen and instead left it in my lap. When we got home, we sat in the car for a bit to talk and then went inside. About 30 minutes later, a lady knocked on our door. When K answered, she asked if we had lost any money...luckily K remembered and asked if it was still in the bank envelope, identified the sum and the bank. Someone had found it and turned it into the office!! So yes, there are good Samaritans left. K gave the lady $100 reward for her honesty even though she didn't want to take it. I, on the other hand, was not so lucky. I should have done what he said and put it in my purse immediately (I was being a bit of a rebel)...so I got doubly punished for not listening and carelessness....ouch! But i learned my lesson...and I put things in my purse on the first request....sorry about your clothes...that REALLY sucks!

  2. Oh, Isla, I'm sorry, that sucks! I used to always be leaving stuff everywhere when I was young; as a result I got into the habit of checking whenever I leave any place...its an unconscious action, but I always look back as I leave, to check I have not left anything. LOL, as a kid, I had to wait at a bus stop for the bus halfway home, then wait for another bus in town to take me the rest of the way. At least twice a week, my dad would have to run me back to at least one of the bus stops, (sometimes both!) to collect such things as school blazer, umbrella, school bag, PE kit, lunch box, coat, and once, the apple crumble I had made in home economics!!!!
Did you pay cash or card for the items? Because some credit cards cover items bought using them... just a thought...and, if you paid cash, ask the shop to look out for anyone returning them for a refund....xxx

  3. Thanks guys - I still feel pretty lousy about the whole situation, but I'm coming to terms with the fact that there's nothing left that I can do. Leo went "sleuthing" at the mall today, and the security guard let him watch the tapes. Two teenage girls and a guy took the bag and then went into a bathroom, so I'm almost positive we won't be getting it back. Because the items were sale items, they were final sale and they wouldn't be allowed to refund or exchange them anyway. I did tell the store to keep an eye out, but I think that's $300.00 down the drain. K's sweetie, that totally sucks about being punished for the mishap! I know I should be punished for mine, but I think Leo knows how horrible I feel already!

  5. oh damn Isla that's horrible. At least leo was understanding about it. i would have gotten into so much trouble for spending $300 plus anyway nevermind then losing it. It happens. Time to let it go :)
have you thought that maybe if leo did punish you, you wouldnt feel so guilty anymore???? It works for me - just a thought ;)
    love and hugs xxx

  6. Yes, I did think that maybe if Leo punished me I wouldn't feel so guilty. I have such a hard time asking for spankings though! I'm sure I will think of something :)

  8. Your punishment was probably feeling frusrated at yourself. But those things happen.

  9. Umm...five minutes in my head and you wouldn't feel so bad, LOL. The big question is what haven't I forgotten or lost. The latest thing was Friday when I was getting a ride from a one-time coworker to the bus stop (I left the car at the Park&Ride because I hate driving/parking downtown) and I forgot my purse in his car. Complete with phone, money, car keys, everything. I didn't notice until he was long gone, because I was balancing boxes of stuff he'd given me. So I was completely stranded. I borrowed a stranger's phone, called my husband in a near panic. Luckily my coworker saw it and came back and all was well. But I had to face a carelessness consequence later that night. And oh yeah, I've had your kind of experience too. Feel better? :)

  10. FD - I agree, being frustrated at myself certainly was no picnic! I'll just have to be more careful next time.

Kay - Yes, I do feel better, haha! It's nice to know I'm not alone! :)

  11. Ughh! This happens to me ALL THE TIME! Last summer, I bought myself a gorgeous pair of expensive summer sandals. I went to the washroom, hung them up on the hook and.... forgot them there when I left! I came home and only then realized that I was one bag short. So agonizing. I also lose my wallet all the time. My husband has threatened to spank me everytime I lose it so as a result I have been MUCH more mindful of keeping it close!

  12. Losing your wallet is the worst! I haven't done it yet, but I know people who have - yikes. Hopefully I don't lose it anytime soon!
